Supervision of Software Development Teams
Dr. Burney has also supervised a number of software development teams who has achieved landmarks in software development.

 i) Supervised teams from Dept of Computer Science, for SEARC 1994, XIII South East Asia, Regional Computer Conference at Sheraton Hotel, November 27-30, 1994
ii) Supervised Teams for A.Q. Khan Software Competition from 1995-99. Teams won many prizes.
iii) Supervised a Software Project for the Blind “Roshni” which guided special children to read won special prize at A.Q. Khan Software Competition 2000. The project also included development of a printer, which could print in Brail.

Special Assignment by Governor Sind & Chancellor of Universities of Sind

Dr. Burney also acted as co-coordinator for Unified Curriculum for Computer Science/IT for the Universities of Sind. (August 1997-March 1998)
